Galatzó Trail 2024, what a ride! Eight runners from the Netherlands took on the rugged trails of the Serra de Tramuntana. Two distances: 43K or 23K, both packed with tough climbs, technical descents, and epic views. A well-organized race, great support along the course, and that unbeatable feeling at the finish—this was trail running at its best.
But it wasn’t just about the race. We explored the surroundings, enjoyed good food, and shared stories with fellow runners. The Tramuntana delivered a route that tested endurance, skill, and mental toughness. Every climb burned, every descent demanded focus, but the views at the top? Worth every step. Whether you ran the long or short course, everyone finished with a sense of pride and fresh inspiration. The mix of Mallorca’s wild beauty, a challenging course, and the energy of like-minded runners made this experience truly special.
Each section of the race had its own character. The opening trails were fast and smooth, leading into rocky climbs and twisting descents. The longer distance runners took on an even greater test, pushing deep into the heart of the Tramuntana. Aid stations were well-placed, and the atmosphere among runners was one of mutual respect and determination. The course may have been tough, but the camaraderie made every step easier.
